The swimming pool is open to the public from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It is available to rent for private parties and events. The pool is easily accessible for those with disabilities and includes an ADA approved lift chair. City employed lifeguards are always present when the pool is open.

The J Dixie Harn Community Center is located a 91 Lanier Street directly behind the Bryan County Courthouse. Facilities include a swimming pool, skate park, playground, and basketball court. In 2012, the city added a sidewalk which surrounds the entire park and serves as a great walking or jogging path.

For information on renting the Harn Center for private receptions, parties, and events call City Hall at (912) 653-4413. Please note that with the rental application for the J. Dixie Harn Center, the Miller Teen Center, City Pool, and Tommy McCormick park are not included in the rental agreement.

The Pembroke Community at Pickett Park planned, fundraised, and built by the 2024-25 Mayor's Youth Council is now accepting rental applications!

Located on what was previously a passive park brought to our community by former Mayor Woodrow W. Pickett (term 1978-1989). You can learn more about former Mayor Pickett at the memorial sign located at the park. Other elements to this park include a nod to our community's historic agricultural ties including a dairy barn, a cane grinder, and a syrup house.

The garden consists of ten (10) 4' x 12' x 12" ground level beds and two yet to be constructed (2) 4' x 6' raised beds with 36" spacing between the beds in order to account for the varying mobility and accessibility needs of our community members
